CSM Technologies Achieves ISO/IEC Certification, Formalises AI Governance Framework Across GovTech Portfolio

The independent certification covers CSM’s AI, machine learning and generative AI solutions, and comes as clients and regulators worldwide push for stronger AI oversight

CSM Technologies Limited, a Bhubaneswar-headquartered GovTech and enterprise IT solutions company, has been certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the world’s first international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). The certification follows an independent audit and covers the company’s end-to-end technology services. The services include spanning software and application development, artificial intelligence, machine learning and generative AI solutions, digital transformation, IT consultancy, systems integration, managed IT and cloud services, and data management and governance.

The move puts CSM among a small set of GovTech and enterprise IT vendors to hold the certification, which benchmarks how organisations govern, deploy and monitor AI systems. It arrives at a time when clients and regulators across markets are tightening expectations around AI transparency, accountability and risk management, particularly for vendors working with government and public-sector clients.

What the Certification Covers

According to the company, its AI Management System now rests on four pillars: a formal AI policy with measurable objectives embedded into standard operating procedures; controlled AI delivery through approved tools, defined data classification protocols and lifecycle documentation; ongoing monitoring by CSM’s Core Technology Group, which tracks AI usage, performance and control effectiveness; and a dedicated AI Risk Register through which AI-related risks are logged, treated and closed through their full lifecycle.

“As CSM scales its AI-led offerings across governments and enterprises in India, Africa, and North America, our clients need to know that innovation is matched by discipline. ISO/IEC 42001 certification is an independent validation that our AI systems are governed by clear policy, continuous oversight and a structured approach to risk, giving our partners the confidence to adopt AI-driven solutions at scale,” said Priyadarshi Nanu Pany, Managing Director & CEO, CSM Technologies.

The certification adds to CSM’s existing suite of quality and security accreditations, which include CMMI Development Maturity Level 5 and multiple other ISO certifications. The company said it plans to continue expanding its AI and generative AI capabilities across its GovTech, digital transformation and managed services portfolio under the new governance framework.
