Singapore’s ABP Securite Enters India, Betting on Tier 1, Tier 2 and GSI Partners

Singapore-based cybersecurity value-added distributor (VAD) ABP Securite has entered the Indian market. It will run its operations from Bengaluru and sell through channel partners. It is targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners as well as global system integrators.

The move is part of a wider plan to grow beyond Asia. ABP Securite operates under ABP Group. Sun Yi, CEO of ABP Group, said India is only the beginning. He said the group aims to become a truly global company as it expands into key markets worldwide.

A Partner-Led Approach

ABP Securite will rely on partners to reach customers, rather than build a mainly direct sales model. It will start with alliances with established Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners and GSIs across India. Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners give it broader geographic reach. GSIs help it serve customers with larger, more complex technology environments.

The company says it is not just opening a sales office. It will invest capital and technical resources in a local distribution ecosystem. It will also expand technical support and strengthen channel enablement. The goal is to give partners the capabilities they need to take its portfolio to different customer segments and regions.

ABP Securite distributes security technologies for infrastructure protection, threat detection and risk mitigation in enterprise networks. It has not named any vendors or products for its India launch.

Whom It Plans to Serve

The company will focus first on enterprise and mid-market firms. Other target sectors are banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), government, the public sector and global capability centres (GCCs). It says these sectors offer a major opportunity because their environments are complex and data-heavy. GCCs are also a growing market as multinational firms build technology and security teams in India.

Bengaluru as a Launchpad

Bengaluru is the starting point. ABP Securite plans a phased rollout across other key commercial hubs in India. It has not yet said which cities or when. The Bengaluru base will support local distribution, technical support and partner engagement. ABP Securite already has a network across Asia, and the India operation extends that footprint.

The next steps are to develop the partner network and technical support structure, then expand to more Indian cities. For the company, India is both a new market for its distribution business and a base for its wider growth beyond Asia.
