HCLTech, a global technology company, has announced a Global Premier Partnership with Anthropic. The goal is to speed up enterprise adoption of agentic AI, with safety, cybersecurity and governance at the centre.
HCLTech’s services teams will build industry solutions powered by Claude, Cowork and Claude Code. HCLSoftware will join as an Anthropic ISV partner and embed these tools in select enterprise products.
A Dedicated Business Unit and Centre of Excellence
HCLTech will set up an Anthropic Business Unit with a Centre of Excellence (CoE). It will build agentic AI solutions and offer secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments of Claude through forward-deployed engineers (FDEs). HCLTech will also help clients adopt AI-native engineering practices, train their workforces and build the skills to run agentic AI safely at scale.
Claude Inside HCLSoftware Products
As an ISV, HCLSoftware will embed Claude and get access to advanced models. They will go into select products across cybersecurity, automation, and business process and application development. These include HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan. HCLSoftware will also enable the Actian AI Analyst.
Claude in the AI Force Platform
HCLTech will also bring Claude and Claude Code into AI Force, its agentic software engineering platform. The integration covers IT support, code remediation and digital employee services. Policy guardrails, exception handling and human oversight for high-impact changes support these workflows.
What Each Side Said
Daniela Amodei, Co-founder and President of Anthropic, said AI is only as useful as it is trustworthy. She said HCLTech runs sensitive systems for banks, hospitals, telecom companies and manufacturers. Anthropic is glad to partner with it as those clients adopt Claude and Claude Code. She said this partnership reflects Anthropic’s wider aim of advancing capability and safety together.
C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech, said few technology firms combine a global systems integrator’s scale with an ISV’s product depth. In his view, that mix gives HCLTech a rare edge in engineering and deploying agentic AI securely at scale. He said the Anthropic partnership strengthens that ability.
The collaboration builds on HCLTech’s AI strength across engineering, data, cloud and software. By pairing it with Anthropic’s focus on safety, HCLTech aims to help clients move from AI experimentation to safe, large-scale enterprise deployment.
