Persistent Systems has opened its third facility in Hyderabad. It will support technology programmes for banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) clients. The focus areas are AI deployment, payments modernization and cloud platforms.
What the New Facility Offers
The facility is at Phoenix Equinox in Gachibowli. The company said it will give delivery teams dedicated workspaces. It will also have areas where Persistent and its clients can work together on AI deployment and systems modernization.
Barath Narayanan, Global BFSI and Europe Geo Head at Persistent, said financial institutions are moving AI into production while updating the systems that run their businesses. He said the facility will offer dedicated delivery environments and allow closer work with clients.
Building on an Existing Base
Persistent has more than 3,000 employees in Hyderabad. It also runs offices at WaveRock and Sattva Knowledge City. The city already hosts many financial institutions, global capability centres (GCCs) and fintech companies.
Other financial firms are expanding their technology operations there too. In February, wealth management firm LPL Financial opened a GCC in the city. It plans to hire across technology, product development, data analytics and risk management.
Persistent did not share the investment in the new facility. It also did not disclose the planned employee capacity or any hiring targets linked to the expansion.
