CtrlS Commits Rs 10,000 Crore to Bihar and Opens a Datacenter in Patna

CtrlS Datacenters Ltd has announced a major investment plan to boost Bihar’s digital infrastructure. It has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Government of Bihar to invest Rs 10,000 crore in a 150 MW hyperscale AI factory in Bodh Gaya. The company also inaugurated its new datacenter in Patna, built with a Rs 400 crore investment to serve AI workloads.

The Patna Datacenter Opens

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary attended the inauguration of the AI and cloud-ready facility. It currently offers 12 MW of IT load and can expand as demand grows.

The datacenter sits in the Patliputra Industrial Area, Patna. It will serve enterprises, government institutions, hyperscalers and technology businesses in Bihar and Eastern India. The greenfield facility is natural disaster-proof, has military-grade security and is energy efficient. It expands CtrlS Datacenters footprint in the region and supports the growth of Eastern India’s datacenter ecosystem.

What the Founder Said

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder & CEO of CtrlS Datacenters, said the company is committed to strengthening Bihar’s digital infrastructure and building a robust IT ecosystem. It will do so through future-ready datacenters for hyperscalers, enterprises and startups. He thanked the Government of Bihar for a supportive policy environment, an industry-friendly climate and attractive incentives that backed the investment.

He added that CtrlS and its ecosystem partners are bringing significant investment into Bihar, creating jobs and contributing to economic growth. Strong market potential and rising demand for digital infrastructure boosted the company’s confidence in the state. That led it to build the Patna facility.

Edge Datacenters Next

CtrlS Datacenters plans to build a hyper-connected network of datacenters across India and beyond, placed closer to emerging demand hubs. As part of this, it plans more than 20 Edge datacenters across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in India in the coming years.

Demand is growing for localized, low-latency and resilient digital infrastructure. CtrlS says it is well placed to speed up the adoption of Edge datacenters. Its aim is to bring compute and connectivity closer to customers, supporting the next wave of digital services and AI-led applications across India.
