Sela, a global cloud consulting and managed services company, has announced a $15 million investment in India over the next five years to expand its cloud delivery footprint and build AI innovation centres. The announcement was made during the “AI Advantage 2025: A CxO Conclave” in Mumbai, which convened senior executives to discuss the future of enterprise AI adoption.
The investment underscores Sela’s intent to make India a strategic hub for cloud innovation, AI development, and global delivery, complementing its existing centres in Israel and the U.S. The company plans to establish multi-cloud engineering facilities, foster local partnerships with startups and independent software vendors (ISVs), and create hundreds of high-skilled jobs across cloud, data, and cybersecurity domains.
Blending Israeli Innovation with Indian Execution Excellence
Sela’s leadership emphasized that India represents a key pillar in its long-term vision of enabling global cloud transformation.
“India represents the perfect blend of scale, skill, and speed,” said Ron Sprinzak, CEO of Sela. “Our goal is to build in India, for the world — blending Israeli innovation with Indian execution excellence to accelerate digital transformation globally.”
The company’s India expansion will focus on three strategic pillars — partnerships, delivery excellence, and innovation.
Partnerships: Strengthening alliances with hyperscale providers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, and collaborating with Indian ISVs to co-develop next-generation solutions.
Delivery Excellence: Establishing integrated delivery hubs across India, Israel, and the U.S. to enhance scalability and operational efficiency.
Innovation: Investing in automation, AI-driven operations, and proprietary platforms to optimise performance and cost efficiency for clients.
Accelerating India’s Cloud and AI Ecosystem
Sela’s India operations will focus on AI engineering, data modernisation, FinOps optimisation, DevOps, and application development, helping enterprises adopt AI-driven CloudOps and hybrid multi-cloud architectures.
According to Rishi Ranjan, General Manager and India Head at Sela, the investment will help Indian enterprises unlock the potential of AI and automation while supporting the government’s digital vision. “We are creating a high-value ecosystem where Indian engineers, Israeli innovators, and global enterprises collaborate to drive measurable outcomes in performance, scalability, and resilience,” he said.
Strengthening India–Israel Tech Collaboration
The initiative also deepens India–Israel collaboration in technology. Israeli expertise in cloud research, AI security, and software engineering will be integrated into Sela’s Indian delivery operations to accelerate R&D and solution deployment. Cross-functional teams will co-develop AI-driven automation frameworks and data analytics platforms designed for global scalability.
By positioning India as a core innovation hub, Sela aims to capture rising enterprise demand for multi-cloud optimisation and AI adoption — areas projected to fuel over $20 billion in annual spending by 2028 across Asia-Pacific, according to IDC.
