RiskProfiler Announces MCP Connector for AI-Assisted External Threat Intelligence

RiskProfiler has introduced its RiskProfiler MCP Connector, enabling compatible AI assistants to provide conversational access to authorized threat and exposure intelligence from the RiskProfiler platform.

Designed for security analysts, risk teams, and security leaders, the connector allows users to ask natural-language questions about their external attack surface, third-party risk, credential exposure, digital threats, and ongoing security operations.

The new interface is aimed at reducing the time analysts spend navigating multiple dashboards, filters, and reports during investigations. RiskProfiler continues to serve as the underlying intelligence platform and system of record, while the AI assistant provides another way for authorized users to explore and analyze information.

How the RiskProfiler MCP Connector Works

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) provides a standardized way for compatible AI applications to interact with connected systems.

Through the RiskProfiler MCP Connector, an authorized user can submit a question through a supported AI assistant. The connector translates the request into permitted queries or functions within the user’s RiskProfiler environment and returns relevant results to the assistant.

RiskProfiler retains control over access permissions and remains responsible for providing the customer-specific intelligence and investigation context behind each response.

The connector also works alongside KnyX AI, RiskProfiler’s agentic investigation capability. KnyX is designed to collect and correlate evidence, investigate threat signals, generate confidence-scored findings, and support remediation based on customer-defined policies.

Bringing External Risk Intelligence Together

The connector is designed to help security teams investigate multiple external risk domains through a single conversational interface.

For example, an analyst investigating a particular domain could ask for associated exposure, digital-threat, vulnerability, credential, and third-party risk information. Follow-up questions can then be used to narrow the investigation without repeatedly moving between different dashboards or modules.

The platform can also support daily security briefings based on an organization’s configuration and permitted data. These briefings can highlight significant changes across the external risk landscape, including attack-surface developments, new findings, vendor-risk changes, brand and identity threats, and pending assessments.

This approach is intended to help security teams move more quickly from identifying a potential threat to understanding its business relevance and deciding what requires further investigation.

A conversational way to explore external risk intelligence can reduce time spent navigating disparate data and help analysts focus on investigation, prioritization, and informed action, said Setu Parimi, Co-founder and CTO of RiskProfiler.

RiskProfiler MCP Connector Availability

The RiskProfiler MCP Connector is expected to initially support Claude, with integrations for OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google Gemini planned to follow.

RiskProfiler noted that product scope and integration timelines remain subject to final confirmation.
