Parul University has signed an MoU with Innogress to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Quantum Computing. The move aims to deepen the university’s strength in quantum technologies and research.
The partnership focuses on quantum research, industry-academia collaboration and future-ready talent in Gujarat. It fits the university’s vision of building a strong ecosystem for emerging technologies. It will also support quantum R&D centres, skilled young professionals and closer ties between industry and academia.
Talks Held to Shape Gujarat’s Quantum Ecosystem
The agreement was signed during a strategic meeting with the Innogress team. Sumant Parimal, Founder and Director of Innogress, led the team. Nikhil Mitaliya, Quantum Technology Expert and General Manager, India, at Tabor Electronics Ltd, was also present.
Discussions centred on building a strong quantum technology ecosystem in Gujarat and across India. The idea is to bring academic, industrial, startup and research organisations together.
Joining the Greater Karnavati Quantum Computing Technology Park
Parul University will join the Greater Karnavati Quantum Computing Technology Park as a stakeholder. Innogress launched the ecosystem. More than 30 deep tech and quantum tech startups and companies back it, along with academic and R&D institutions. Together, they aim to grow a $20 billion deep tech ecosystem in India.
The university will bring its existing expertise and facilities to the table. These cover Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Nanotechnology and Deep Tech. This mix of skills is expected to open new paths for collaboration, research, innovation and capacity building.
What It Means for Students and Researchers
The Centre of Excellence will give students and researchers more ways to learn about quantum computing and carry out research. They will also get to work with industry and explore new technologies. The goal is to prepare them for the future technology landscape.
Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Vice President and Medical Director at Parul University, said the MoU will bring academia, industry and research together. In her words, “Quantum Computing is the future of technological development.” She added that the Centre will create new opportunities for students and researchers in this field.
Through the partnership, Parul University and Innogress will build a platform that unites academia, industry, startups and researchers to advance quantum technology. It is also expected to strengthen Gujarat’s standing in India’s deep tech landscape.
