Databricks Launches Cybersecurity AI Platform

Databricks has launched a new cybersecurity platform, Data Intelligence for Cybersecurity, aimed at helping enterprises combat increasingly sophisticated AI-powered cyber threats. The platform leverages the company’s Lakehouse architecture to unify fragmented security data and enable real-time insights, faster response times, and governed AI agent workflows.

The new solution addresses a core challenge that security teams face today — slow detection and limited visibility due to siloed data systems and the use of generic, one-size-fits-all AI models. By centralizing data and allowing natural language search and analytics, Databricks is helping both technical experts and business leaders access actionable threat intelligence faster.

“Security teams can now gain a more accurate, governed, and flexible approach to building AI agents that proactively combat today’s modern and AI-based threats,” said Omar Khawaja, VP of Security and Field CISO at Databricks.

Meet the Agent Bricks

One of the key features of the new platform is Agent Bricks, a suite of AI agents that can be trained to automate key security tasks — from data analysis to incident response — while remaining compliant with internal governance policies. These agents are built to operate across an organization’s security workflows and can be integrated into existing infrastructure.

Several early adopters are already seeing results. Arctic Wolf, which processes more than 8 trillion security events weekly, reported faster innovation in AI-driven protection. Barracuda Networks has achieved a 75% reduction in daily processing and storage costs. Palo Alto Networks has accelerated its AI-powered detection capabilities by 3X, and SAP Enterprise Cloud Services reduced engineering time by 80%, improving rule deployment speed fivefold.

Seamless Partner Integrations

To expand its reach and interoperability, Databricks announced strategic integrations with several cybersecurity and consulting partners, including Abnormal AI, Accenture Federal, Arctic Wolf, Deloitte, Panther, and Varonis. These partnerships are designed to make it easier for organizations to adopt the new platform without overhauling their existing tech stacks.

According to Databricks, Data Intelligence for Cybersecurity not only enhances incident response, but also helps organizations take a proactive approach to defense — a critical need in an era where attackers are also weaponizing AI.

From Data Tool to Strategic Defense Layer

With this launch, Databricks is positioning itself not just as a data analytics provider but as a key enabler of enterprise cybersecurity resilience. As the AI threat landscape evolves, organizations need tools that go beyond dashboards and alerts — they need intelligence that adapts in real-time, learns from context, and empowers secure automation.

“Databricks is making data and AI every organisation’s strongest defense strategy,” Khawaja added.
