Emvee Energy to Invest ₹15,000 Cr in Karnataka Solar Plant

Bengaluru-based Emvee Energy has announced plans to invest ₹15,000 crore in a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing plant in Karnataka. The investment will be made in phases, with an initial ₹5,000 crore allocated to establish a 5 GW power generation facility, expected to create 10,000 jobs, according to Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil.

Major Investment for Karnataka’s Renewable Sector

The investment stems from a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during the recently concluded Global Investors Meet (GIM) – Invest Karnataka 2025. Following a meeting with Emvee Energy’s senior representatives at Vidhana Soudha, Patil confirmed that the company has requested 120 acres of land in the Bengaluru IT Investment Region (ITIR), which will be facilitated by the state government after due evaluation.

Earlier in the day, Patil also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Krones’ ₹315 crore manufacturing plant at Vemagal, another key investment resulting from GIM.

Strengthening India’s Renewable Energy Sector

Emvee Energy is a key player in the solar power industry, manufacturing essential components such as aluminium frames, glass, EPE, JB Ribbon, and wafers. The upcoming plant will enhance India’s renewable energy capacity, supporting sustainability goals and local manufacturing growth.
