Foxconn to Deploy Humanoid Robots at Nvidia’s Houston AI Server Plant

In a major leap for AI-driven manufacturing, Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics maker and key producer of Nvidia’s AI servers, has announced that it will deploy humanoid robots at its Houston factory. The facility, which assembles Nvidia’s AI server systems, will be among the first in the world to introduce humanoid robots powered by Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T N model, marking the beginning of a new industrial era where AI and robotics merge on production lines.

The announcement was made during Nvidia’s developers’ conference in Washington, D.C., where Foxconn confirmed that the humanoid robots will begin operating in the first quarter of 2026. The collaboration aims to create a “world-leading benchmark AI smart factory,” with robots capable of handling sophisticated assembly tasks alongside human operators.

Scaling AI Server Production Across the U.S.

Foxconn, officially known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., is expanding its AI manufacturing footprint beyond Texas, with additional capacity being scaled in Wisconsin and California. This expansion is a direct response to surging global demand for AI infrastructure — from data centers to enterprise-grade servers — as organizations race to build computing capacity for generative AI applications.

“Our team is bringing the most advanced AI data center solutions to the United States, which will help our leading customers stay ahead in the AI race,” said Young Liu, Chairman of Foxconn. He emphasized that integrating humanoid robotics with AI servers represents “the next phase of intelligent manufacturing,” enhancing both scalability and precision.

Industry analysts note that Foxconn’s strategic partnership with Nvidia is critical for both companies. For Nvidia, it ensures a reliable supply chain for AI servers amid record-high demand. For Foxconn, it positions the company at the center of the emerging AI hardware–robotics ecosystem, where automation is key to maintaining competitiveness.

Redefining the Factory of the Future

The Nvidia Isaac GR00T N model, which powers these humanoid robots, is designed for real-time industrial automation, leveraging simulation, perception, and motion planning capabilities. By integrating these robots into the Houston plant, Foxconn will test how AI-enabled humanoids can perform complex production, inspection, and maintenance tasks at scale.

Analysts believe this move could significantly reduce labor costs, increase output consistency, and enhance worker safety.
