Infosys Opens New TechFin Hub in GIFT City

Infosys has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art Development Center (DC) in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar. The global IT major announced that the facility will accommodate over 1,000 employees operating in a hybrid work model, and will focus on delivering digital solutions to clients in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sectors. Positioned as a key TechFin hub, the center is designed to support transformation initiatives in areas such as digital banking, regulatory compliance, trade finance, capital markets, cards and payments, and risk management.

This move aligns with Infosys’ strategy to expand its digital capabilities within India’s growing international financial ecosystem. The company aims to bring cross-border service excellence by leveraging advanced technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), generative AI (Gen AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, blockchain, and APIs.

Hybrid work, ESG goals, and green infrastructure

The newly launched center has been designed with energy conservation and sustainability in mind. It features green office design principles such as daylight maximization, smart operations, water and energy efficiency, and aims to align with Infosys’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments. The workplace will also support hybrid work models, with a focus on fostering collaboration, innovation, and productivity among employees.

Speaking at the inauguration, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel lauded the development as a milestone in the state’s rise as a hub for digital innovation and financial services. He emphasized that the center would not only generate jobs but also accelerate Gujarat’s emergence as a global digital infrastructure leader.

Reinforcing Infosys’ commitment to India’s tech ecosystem

Jayesh Sanghrajka, Chief Financial Officer at Infosys, stated that the center reflects Infosys’ long-term commitment to innovation in financial services from within India’s premier international finance zone. He added that GIFT City provides an ideal environment for advancing digital transformation initiatives. Infosys leadership, including senior vice presidents Niladri Prasad Mishra and Rajneesh Malviya, attended the event along with state government officials.
