ITI Ltd., a public sector enterprise under the Department of Telecommunications, has invited bids for establishing a fully automated 500 MW solar photovoltaic (SPV) module manufacturing line at its facility in Naini, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The estimated cost of the project is approximately ₹65 crore, and the timeline for completion is set at 6–7 months.
Key Details of the Tender
The bidding process includes a tender document cost of ₹20,000 and an earnest money deposit (EMD) equal to 2% of the tender value. Interested bidders must submit their proposals by January 23, 2025, at 10:30 AM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 11:00 AM.
Preference will be given to Class 1 local suppliers as part of the government’s initiative to promote domestic manufacturing. The tender specifies that bidders must demonstrate prior experience in completing similar projects within India over the last five years.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the tender, bidders must meet the following capacity requirements based on previous projects:
- Three completed works: Each with a capacity of at least 200 MW.
- Two completed works: Each with a capacity of at least 250 MW.
- One completed work: With a capacity of at least 400 MW.
Additionally, similar works refer to the supply, installation, and commissioning of solar manufacturing lines meeting the required capacities.
Financial Requirements
Eligible bidders must also fulfill the following financial criteria:
- Positive net worth: At the close of the preceding financial year.
- Minimum Average Annual Turnover (MAAT): ₹20 crore over the last three financial years.
