Maharashtra Inks ₹14.5 Lakh Cr Davos MoUs; Lodha’s 2.5GW Data Center Park Leads

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis oversaw the signing of MoUs worth ₹14.5 lakh crore at the World Economic Forum Davos 2026, spanning artificial intelligence, quantum computing, digital infrastructure, fintech, electric vehicles, real estate, and education. The landmark agreements position Maharashtra as India’s leading FDI destination while establishing the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) as a premier technology and hyperscale hub.

The single largest commitment comes from Lodha Group’s ₹1 lakh crore data center investment, building on their previous ₹30,000 crore commitment under Maharashtra’s Green Integrated Data Centre Park policy. This ₹1.3 lakh crore total investment will develop a massive 2.5 gigawatt data center park in MMR’s Palava region, positioning it as India’s largest hyperscale facility and creating over 16,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Lodha’s Hyperscale Vision Anchors MMR’s Digital Transformation

Lodha Developers MD and CEO Abhishek Lodha confirmed the park will achieve Tier III+ certification with advanced liquid cooling systems and renewable energy integration, specifically optimized for AI inference workloads and NVIDIA H100/B200 GPU clusters. Amazon has already secured land and power arrangements for 15 years, while Singapore-based STT Global Data Centres has acquired its parcel, validating the project’s global appeal.

The facility targets enterprise GenAI deployment, sovereign cloud services, and edge computing for financial services requiring sub-5ms latencies. Maharashtra’s 2024 Green Data Centre policy provides 100% renewable power mandates, stamp duty exemptions, and single-window clearances, making MMR competitive with global Tier-1 markets.

Strategic Technology Ecosystem Takes Shape
