Meta, in collaboration with the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), unveiled a whitepaper and playbook aimed at driving digital transformation in India’s automotive retail sector. The report highlights the evolving consumer behavior and preferences influenced by digital adoption, while offering actionable insights for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and dealerships to strengthen their digital strategies.
Driving Digital Transformation in Auto Retail
The whitepaper is part of Meta and FADA’s broader effort to bridge the digital gap in India’s automotive sector. This initiative builds on the success of the ‘Move with Meta’ program, launched in 2023 to upskill auto dealers in digital outreach and lead generation using Meta’s platforms. Designed to equip dealerships with advanced digital tools and hyperlocal solutions, the program has significantly impacted dealer digitization and customer engagement.
Achievements of ‘Move with Meta’
Since its inception, the program has achieved remarkable milestones:
- Over 10,000 dealers across India have been upskilled, surpassing the initial target of 3,000 dealers.
- A 3X growth in dealer digitization has been recorded, showcasing the adoption of tools like Reels, WhatsApp, and AI-powered solutions.
- Dealers reported a 32% improvement in lead generation efficiency, translating into enhanced customer acquisition and stronger sales for auto OEMs.
