Naidu Showcases AP’s Innovation Potential at WEF

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has positioned the state as a global hub for innovation and investment during the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. Through a series of high-profile meetings, Naidu showcased Andhra Pradesh’s potential in pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced manufacturing, emphasizing the state’s strategic advantages as an investment destination.

Blueprint for Swarnandhra 2047

In his address, Naidu outlined Andhra Pradesh’s vision under the “Swarnandhra @ 2047” initiative. This framework, built on the P4 model (People as Partners in Progress), aims to foster inclusive growth and transform the state into a global leader in innovation and industrial development. Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), Naidu invited the Telugu diaspora to invest in Andhra Pradesh’s future, emphasizing their role as key stakeholders in creating a prosperous, innovative, and globally competitive state.

Investment Talks in Switzerland

Before heading to Davos, Naidu held discussions with Indian Ambassador to Switzerland, Mrudul Kumar, in Zurich. The meeting highlighted collaboration opportunities between Switzerland and Andhra Pradesh, particularly in pharmaceuticals, technical textiles, medical devices, and rail component manufacturing. Kumar noted that over 350 Swiss companies, including Nestlé, Novartis, and ABB, are already operating in India and expressed optimism about further investments.

Naidu proposed enhanced partnerships between Swiss and Andhra Pradesh universities to foster knowledge exchange and support emerging industries such as AI and skill development. The Chief Minister also underscored Andhra Pradesh’s readiness to leverage its skilled workforce, including facilitating work-from-home systems across diverse sectors.

Collaborations in Pharma and Advanced Manufacturing

In meetings with CEOs of leading Swiss corporations, Naidu highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strengths, including advanced R&D centers, innovation hubs, and business-friendly policies. He outlined opportunities in pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, and energy manufacturing sectors. The discussions also touched on joint ventures and the establishment of incubation centers to nurture startups and accelerate technological advancements.

Reception and Regional Collaboration

Naidu’s arrival in Zurich was met with enthusiasm from the Europe Telugu Desam Party Forum and members of the Indian diaspora. During his visit, he also engaged with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Both leaders exchanged views on developmental projects and emphasized the importance of regional collaboration to drive economic growth.
