OMRON Corporation and Cognizant have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at transforming global manufacturing through seamless integration of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT). As part of the collaboration, Cognizant has been selected as the engineering partner for OMRON’s Industrial Automation Business (IAB) products.
The alliance brings together OMRON’s advanced automation systems—spanning sensors, servo motors, safety equipment, and robots—with Cognizant’s expertise in cloud computing, AI, IoT, and digital twin technologies. By combining OMRON’s field-level automation capabilities with Cognizant’s IT infrastructure and analysis tools like the Asset Performance Excellence (APEx) platform and OnePlant™ maturity assessment tool, the two companies aim to improve productivity, enable data-driven decision-making, and enhance sustainability across manufacturing processes.
