The Government of Tamil Nadu has signed a major Memorandum of Understanding with ANSR to scale Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in the state. The agreement, facilitated by Guidance Tamil Nadu, positions the state to attract the next wave of Fortune 500 companies and high-growth enterprises looking to expand global operations.
Tamil Nadu already hosts GCCs across technology, automotive, BFSI, engineering, aerospace and retail. With a strong talent base, progressive policy ecosystem and world-class infrastructure, the state is preparing to consolidate its position as one of the world’s most competitive GCC destinations.
ANSR’s Global Expertise Comes Into Play
ANSR brings over two decades of experience in building and scaling GCCs. The company has established more than 200 GCCs, hired more than 200,000 global professionals and enabled around 12 million square feet of office infrastructure for enterprise clients.
Its expertise spans:
• AI engineering
• Cybersecurity
• Product development
• Digital commerce
• R&D
• Data science
• Enterprise operations
Through the MoU, ANSR will facilitate global enterprise interest, support the setup process, and ensure smooth onboarding of new GCC investments into the state.
Government Focus on Policy Enablement and Talent
Tamil Nadu will support incoming enterprises with policy interventions, accelerated approvals, infrastructure readiness and strong talent linkages. The state’s GCC-focused initiatives, including a dedicated GCC policy and industry-academia workforce programs, are designed to attract companies looking for scalability, stability and domain-specific expertise.
The Industries Minister highlighted that Tamil Nadu’s consistent growth, diversified economy and governance model continue to draw global enterprises across sectors. The government expects this partnership to bring significant investments, generate high-value employment, and deepen innovation capabilities across the state.
Driving Long-Term Growth for Tamil Nadu’s Digital Economy
The collaboration aims to expand the state’s global footprint by making Tamil Nadu a preferred destination for enterprise innovation hubs. Enhanced talent pipelines, stable operations and integrated digital infrastructure are expected to drive new opportunities for AI-intensive roles, engineering centres, cybersecurity teams and global operations units.
The MoU reinforces Tamil Nadu’s long-term vision to build a future-ready digital economy supported by strong global partnerships and advanced technology clusters.
