Zealthix Raises $1.1M to Expand OPD Health Platform

Zealthix Technologies, a rising Indian healthtech and insurtech startup, has raised $1.1 million in seed funding led by Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from AlphaGen Venture Capital. The funding will be used to strengthen Zealthix’s technology capabilities, expand its OPD (outpatient department) stack, and accelerate onboarding of healthcare providers across India.

Founded in 2023 by IIT alumni Abhishek Kumar and Dr. Avinash Gupta, Zealthix positions itself as India’s first interoperable Health Cloud Exchange. It offers a scalable, AI-driven platform that bridges insurers, healthcare providers, and patients to streamline digital health plan delivery and outpatient services.

Tackling India’s Underserved OPD Insurance Market

India’s OPD insurance space has long suffered from low coverage, fragmented workflows, and limited adoption. Zealthix aims to solve this with a cloud-based middleware platform that enables:

  • Cashless OPD workflows

  • Standardized health data exchange

  • AI-based partner management and compliance tools

  • Faster health plan rollout for insurers

The platform has already gained recognition as a certified partner of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and is integrated into the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) framework, offering plug-and-play compatibility with government-backed digital infrastructure.

Strategic Investors Back Scalable Model

Investors backing Zealthix see it as a critical solution for the digital transformation of India’s health insurance industry. Pankaj Gupta, co-founder at AlphaGen VC, said the platform has “immense potential to make health plans seamless and affordable.”

The funding round will also help Zealthix grow its provider network, enhance its data-driven analytics engine, and build real-time tools for insurers to design smarter, more targeted health products.

The Road Ahead

With digital health becoming a national priority, Zealthix is well-positioned to capture the next wave of insurtech innovation. Its interoperable and AI-first design could serve as a blueprint for future OPD and wellness platforms—not just in India, but across other emerging markets facing similar coverage gaps.
