Anant Raj to Invest ₹20,000 Crore in Haryana Data Centre Expansion

Anant Raj Ltd has signed an MoU with the Haryana government to invest ₹20,000 crore in large-scale data centre infrastructure across the state, underscoring the company’s deeper push into digital infrastructure. The move is aimed at supporting the growing demand for data storage, cloud services and digital connectivity, while strengthening Haryana’s position as a destination for technology-led investment.

Capacity Expansion Plans

The company currently operates 28 MW of IT load across its campuses in Manesar and Panchkula. It now plans to expand its total data centre capacity to 307 MW by 2031-32 across Manesar, Panchkula and Rai, supported by a planned capital expenditure of about $2.1 billion. The proposed investment is over and above its existing and ongoing expansion plans.

Policy Push in Haryana

The memorandum was signed during the launch of the ‘Make in Haryana Policy’ and other sectoral policies organised by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Haryana. The event was chaired by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in the presence of Rao Narbir Singh, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Environment, Forests & Wildlife, Haryana.

Anant Raj said the proposed investment will help develop state-of-the-art data centres and digital infrastructure, further positioning Haryana as a hub for technology-led growth. The company’s move reflects the state’s growing role in the wider data centre and cloud infrastructure ecosystem.

Growing Data Centre Play

While Anant Raj is primarily known as a real estate developer, it has expanded into the data centre business in recent years. The company is building data centre parks, particularly in the Delhi-NCR region, to tap into rising demand for cloud services, AI infrastructure and digital storage across India.

This latest Haryana investment adds to that strategy and signals a stronger long-term commitment to the sector. It also comes after the company had earlier signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government in November last year for new data centre facilities and an IT park through its subsidiary Anant Raj Cloud Pvt Ltd.
